Mike Kittredge made a killing when he sold his Yankee Candle Company to a New York-based private equity company for $500 million in 1998. No surprise then that he named his new 197-ft. Feadship superyacht Paraffin. Launched in 2001 and refit in 2010, the ultra-luxe vessel is now for sale via Fraser Yachts for about $57 million. Kittredge and his wife Lisa had it fitted out for maximum entertaining, with a tiny bar in the starboard entry foyer where guests can quaff cocktails while waiting for their luggage to be brought aboard, to a 400 bottle wine cellar with storage for one glass per bottle. It also features a 12-person gym, steam room and whirlpool spa that can be converted into a table for 20.

The traditional raised panel mahogany interior gives the craft a classic feel. There are accommodations for 12 guests in all along with 17 crew. The full beam owners’ master features a large bath furnished in yellow Onice marble with underfloor heating and a huge walk in dressing room. Forward of the stairway is a full-beam VIP cabin, which includes an extra bed and a games room with a range of different consoles including a flat-screen TV and a home movie system.
