World’s Most Expensive & Powerful Moto to Debut at Goodwood

The €130,000 Icon Sheene, the self-professed world’s most expensive and powerful production motorcycle will make its world debut at the UK’s upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 2 – 4. Only 52 examples of the stunning superbike, designed in homage to Barry Sheene, the late Grand Prix motorcycle world champion who took to racing historic bikes at Goodwood in his later years. The 250 hp, turbocharged 1400cc Icon Sheene took five years to develop and is capable of a neck-snapping 200 mph.

The edition of 52 handbuilt, bespoke bikes refers to both the number of years in Sheene’s fast-paced life and the number of cards in a deck; each model will be hand-painted with a different card done by Mike Fairholme, the artist who decorated Sheene’s helmets. Each Icon Sheene, dubbed an “ultrabike”, will be tailored to the purchaser’s individual requirements and there will be fittings prior to delivery as with a fine handmade Savile Row suit. Icon founder Andrew Morris firmly believes Sheene would have approved.
