Originally launched in 1997 as the Surama, Royal Huismanâs 40-metre Ted Hood-designed ketch William Tai is fresh from a refit that just won her a spot as finalist in this yearâs World Superyacht Awards, taking place in London in May. The alluring sailing superyacht, with a cruising speed of 11 knots and a maximum speed of 13 knots, has now been listed for sale on JamesList via Yachting Partners International (YPI). The refit was undertaken at Royal Huisman itself, ensuring that her pedigree has been maintained and that the work was done to the builderâs meticulous standards.

With luxe accommodation for up to 8 guests and 6 crew sheâs ready for anything the oceans can throw at her. âWilliam Tai has been continually upgraded and beautifully maintained from the very beginning,â notes YPIâs William Bishop. âHer original owner was a thoroughly experienced yachtsman whose exacting demands helped create a jewel of a superyacht. She was recently extensively upgraded with a new teak deck, a complete repaint, fresh interior and exterior upholstery as well as having a complete service of all her technical systems and rigging. Now in her new livery of flag blue and oyster white, William Tai is in the best condition ever.â Anchors away!
