With BaselWorld just around the corner, exhibiting companies are releasing pictures and bits of info on some of their upcoming entries. A few weeks back, we told you about Oris’ history of jazz tribute watches. On the other side of the fence, Oris has been working hard on further strengthening the company’s image as the manly man’s choice (not meaning to sound bitter, I’m just annoyed that my puny little wrists can’t take their massive divers).
Their latest effort is the Oris Col Moschin Power Reserve. Col Moschin, or the 9º Reggimento d’Assalto Paracadutisti, is the “proudest unit” (fiore all’occhiello) of the Italian Special Forces, roughly equal in numbers if not in fame to the SAS. These fellows seem to be pretty hardcore, atleast judging by some photographs I found of them.

The titanium gray PVD case (complete with a tungsten ring) measures 49mm and houses an Oris 667 movement (ETA 2897) with a power reserve complication in the colors of the Italian flag. Its rated WR is 1000m. If you share my physical deficiencies, you could always knock someone out with one.
