Lose your mind at the Disney Dream

Back this fall, Disney held a press conference in New York where they unveiled the third ship in the Disney Cruise Line. Now, this is not really news nor is it something that will be available for purchase, but I only recently took a look at some of the interior design of the vessel, and boy, it’s something else.
By something else, I mean nothing short of a full on panic attack. Let’s take a tour inside, shall we?

Ah, the Atrium. Nothing too bad, right? A bit kitsch, but nothing that will kill you. After all, it is a Disney-themed family ride. However, let’s step further into the dungeons…

Nemo’s reef. Isn’t it adorable?

For the young’ins, there’s the Oceaneer’s club. Feeling claustrophobic already? Let’s go outside for a bit…

…to the Teen Club! Available exclusively for teens, this area features such conveniences as video games and movie screens. Or you could, you know, enjoy being on the open sea.

Ah, the Enchanted Garden. The restaurant features an artificial sky that transforms into sunset, with colors that change into a twinkling field of stars. Imagine trying to finish your meal here. I think the elderly might just snap into some kind of horrible PTSD Vietnam flashback.

The Skyline restaurant is, as far as research shows, the only place where I probably wouldn’t have a hard time breathing. Judging by the picture, I could always just get off and enjoy Paris.
Booking is currently possible, with the maiden voyage being set for January 26 next year. The Disney Dream is currently being built in Papenburg, Germany. It will take 4000 passengers and 1500 crew. It measures 1115 ft and does a maximum of 23,5 knots.
