The very first of the 15 ultra-exclusive Lamborghini Reventon Roadsters to be built is being offered for sale via JamesList by The Collection Motor Sport of Madrid, Spain, for €1,465,500. The coveted “No. 1”, aptly on offer in bullfighting’s epicenter given that the Reventon is named after a bull who offed a famous matador, is sure to appreciate in value as the first to roll off the line. We first reported on the highly coveted topless version of the Reventon rocket ship back in July of 2009, and since then the buzz has continued to build.
The carbon fibre-bodied car, with its fighter jet-inspired styling and understated matte gray paint job, has a 6.5 liter V12 engine pumping out 670 hp. It can do 0 – 100 kph (62 mph) in just 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 205 mph. As Lamborghini put it when unveiling the wicked beast at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year, it’s a heady mix of “breathtaking fascination, menacing power and uncompromising performance,” the most extreme car in Lamborghini’s colorful history. Better move pretty fast on this one.
