Cafiero 80M Superyacht Concept

Avant-garde Italian designer Carlo Cafiero has collaborated with the TechMarine shipyard on a new 80-metre superyacht concept with the sporty lines of an oceangoing Lamborghini. A steel and light alloy aluminum hull and superstructure give it a similar power-to-weight ratio as well. Characterized by a forceful design and lengthened with a high prow, tinted polycarbonate bulwarks aft shielding a sea level swimming pool and gym / sauna give it an aggressive, shark-like appearance, as do the craft’s slightly convex protruding side windows.
Fitted with twin Caterpillar 3516 hp engines she’s projected to hit a maximum speed of 17 knots with a cruising speed of 15 knots and a range of 6,000 nautical miles at cruising speed. A retractable helipad in the bow can accommodate an Agusta Grand storable in a large hangar below, while covered terraces overlook the sea. The interior layout, spread out over four decks, can accommodate up to 30 guests including an owner’s “supersuite” as well as 30 crew. Green glass walls flank the rear swimming platform protecting loungers from the elements.
