JamesList aficionados are familiar with the brilliant British tuning house Project Kahn, known for making ultra-luxe and exotic autos even more ultra-luxe and exotic. The man behind the firm is not just a glorified mechanic for well-heeled car collectors, however – he’s a major car collector in his own right. The 38-year-old from Bradford is a self-made millionaire after setting Kahn Design 11 years ago, when he was only 27. It now has franchises around the world, and dealerships as far-flung as China and Russia. What else to spend the dough on but a few Bugatti Veyrons?
That’s right, we said a few. In addition to an all-white model – bearing the much-coveted number plate F1 – Kahn just took delivery of a blue and white version as well. And he’s already put in an order for Veyron No. 3, which is expected to arrive in the next 18 months. The two Veyrons are currently on display at the Kahn Laboratory- a purpose- built workspace and showroom in Bradford, UK. “I believe that the Veyron is the ultimate car,” Kahn notes, “and taking into consideration the amount that VW spend on building every car this is one of the best investments I have ever made.”
