What is it about Lamborghinis that sends design students into new heights of ecstasy? On the heels of the Insecta, Ankonian and Conquisto concepts, Italian designer Andrei Avarvarii has come up with a vision for what a Lamborghini could look like come 2020. Avarvarii, currently cramming for his master’s degree at Milan’s Scuola Politecnica di Design, drew up plans for an electric supercar from the famed Italian marque with a bit of help from Lamborghini’s own head of design, Filippo Perini.
The 202 Minotauro concept actually employs four separate electric motors splitting the power 70% to the rear wheels and 30% to the front via a KERS system and Li-Tec flat-cell battery in back of the vehicle. And hey, without that pesky V12 engine loitering back there you’ve got room for a third passenger. Triangular exhausts meanwhile not only cool the batteries but also “act like the tubes of a subwoofer, channeling the sound of the electric motors placed behind them.” Of course given that we’re talking 2020 there are all kinds of other high-tech features like built in social networking or somesuch, but we think the car’s killer lines speak for themselves.
