Wyler Geneve is not a watch brand I often discuss – for no particular reason really, but so many other brands seems to get into my focus more. I wanted to give Wyler a chance so I decided to take a long hard look at the Wyler Tourbillon WT3 watch and decided that I was not doing the brand justice. They really make a timepiece that is meant to be seen in reality as opposed to in pictures. The different looking but simple case serves as a frame for the complex goings on of the open work dial. The movement is made out of a secret material, but Wyler says is has a lot of silicium. The inner movement is held to the case via four shock absorbers and is made of titanium.

The tourbillon should probably be a bit easier to see from a contrasting color standpoint, but is still easily visible. The manually wound movement has 72 hours of power reserve which is impressive. The case of the Tourbillon WT3 watch is available in white gold or black ceramic and is about 42mm wide and thin at 12.5mm thick. The whole watch has a nice integrated feel, and the rubber strap has that almost ‘tire tread” appeal that is sporty and comfortable to look at. While the style of the watch is not exactly “wild” I think it would have a nice look on one’s wrist. Some overly technical looking watches have the ability to just look out of place on a wrist, being too artificial against an organic surface. I think that Wyler cases would not have this same problem. The Tourbillon WT3 is obviously going to be more expensive that most of the line, but is it certainly a luxury brand with watches that I am guessing average for about $20,000 – $30,000.
