Roma, the newly-launched 62-metre, €59.5 million quad-deck Espen Oeino-designed superyacht from Viareggio, could easily berth more than 12 guests, but the aim of the ship is the utmost in entertainment, luxury and sophistication, which of course requires plenty of room for debauching in. Of course, all six staterooms have en suite facilities, while the main deck full width master with forward panoramic views as well as a separate lounge area and his-and-hers baths is nothing short of Caliguan; ditto the VIP stateroom on the bridge deck.

Of course, the Roma’s interior is finished in a modern Italian style – light-toned and tasteful, verging on minimalist. Well, haute-minimalist. An enormous Jacuzzi / pool on the foredeck, cinema/game room, massive salon and dining area, fully equipped gymnasium and spacious sky lounge, all connected via elevator, do nothing to counter Oeino’s reputation as the leader in “combining the precision of fine machinery with indulgent finishes and the high-end amenities of a palace.” With a range of 6,000 nautical miles at 12 knots, the Roma can reach a top speed of 17 knots.
