Tramontana Leal-Audirac Art Car for Sale on James

There’s a newcomer among the top 5 most expensive cars listed for sale on JamesList, which of course puts them in the class of the world’s most expensive. It’s a one-off custom Spanish Tramontana supercar desgned by renowned artist Fernando Leal-Audirac using paint enriched with gold and precious gems. At €2 million it is tied for 4th place with a rare McLaren F1; the most expensive car is of course the “Star of India” Rolls-Royce while the others are Bugatti Veyrons. The carbon fiber-bodied Tramontana, listed by Milan’s Teumim Group, has a twin-turbo V12 engine capable of 760 hp and a 0 -100 kph time of 3.6 seconds.

The precious paints used by Leal-Audirac produce an iridescent effect reacting to movement and light, changing the colours from purple to cobalt blue, and from green to gold. Designed to be a silk scuptlure on wheels, it’s “the synthesis of the artist’s poetic vision in which art, tradition, technique, design and technology coexist through a constant research, incarnating the charm, the myth and the dynamics of contemporaneity.” In other words it looks like the Batmobile crossed with Picasso’s Hispano-Suiza.
