Top Gear Is Back

The world’s best TV show is back after some months of recording new episodes. As always, the viral world is afloat with rumours about everything from Clarkson’s bankruptcy to Hamster’s tall operation and if May actually have a small colony of smurfs living in his hair.
The first episode of season 13 debuted this Sunday with one of those things Top Gear does so well; a race between a train, a car and a motorbike and the supercar of all supercars, the Ferrari FXX.
Top Gear and its minions of car bloggers around the world are absolutely phenomenal at creating buzz in media related to the various stunts of Top Gear. Their latest publicity hi-jinx was trying to pass off Michael Schumacher as the Stig, something which some media outlets actually seem to find veracious when it’s an obvious PR trick to generate viewers. Not that I mind, the more, bigger and louder the Top Gear cannons sound, the happier I am.
There are few TV shows that can make me genuinly smile throughout an entire episode but Top Gear is one of them. The extremely well produced show can really capture the passionate love that some people has for moving objects coupled with this childish approach to how fast they can go and the adventure that goes with it.
Top Gear – for the child within!
Just one of the many reasons I love Top Gear is how they always manage to exceed expectations and stand norms on end by challenging social structures. Or, letting a nun drive a monster truck…
