Tankoa S65, Yours for €55 Million

Italian shipyard Tankoa says it’s sworn to “maximum secrecy” regarding the buyer of its first 65-metre superyacht, the S65-11; we’re thiking Russian oligarch. It’s sister ship the S65-12 however can be yours for €55 Million. The commercial displacement twin engine yacht in dual class (RINA/Lloyd’s), with Atlantic autonomy, high tensile steel hull and light weight alloy superstructures, is simply put a stunner. The hull is the work of Prof. Vincenzo Ruggiero with exterior lines by Francesco Paszkowski. S65-11’s interiors were designed by British architect David Chipperfield, but for the S65-12 Tankoa decided to keep everything Italia.

S65-12’s interiors are being designed by Giugiaro architecture with completion slated for 2012, and they look straight out of a Milan penthouse. Yachts at this level are not known on the whole for understated design, one-upmanship being the name of the game. So the S65-12 is remarkably refreshing with its ultra-clean wood floors and white upholstery and nary a garish colour in sight, compementing the alloy superstructure well. The S65-12 has stylish accomodations for 12, a crusing speed of 12.5 knots, range of 5,000 nautical miles at cruising speed and a maximum speed of 16.5 knots.
