Only Watch 2009 Monaco Charity Watch Auction
I love the idea of this event. Each year, the “Only Watch” auction features unique or one-off watches from a large array of watch makers that are auctioned off for charity. If the watches are part of a limited edition, they typically need to be the first watch off the line (1/XX for example). Other watches are totally unique – ranging from special colors to completely different models. See this image from Only Watch that represents a collage of some of the available timepiece. There are many more of course. Almost every notable brand has something special to offer at the Only Watch event, and 2009 is going to be an impressive year despite the state of the watch industry. One of my favorite companies that offers unique watches at the event is BNB Concept (also through its connected entity, the Confrerie Horlogere). The Only Watch auction is a collaboration between Patrizzi & Co. Auctioneers and the Monaco Yacht Show. It will be held this year in Monaco on September 24, 2009. The charity that will benefit from the event researches treatment for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. These types of events provide a ton of eye candy to watch lovers everywhere, and an amazing watch to select people with deep enough pockets.
