Poser or enthusiast?

There are two kinds of people that buy the Boxster S; the poser and the enthusiast. How is it possible for the Boxster S to attract people that are on such completely opposite sides of the spectrum?
Well, the enthusiast’s view point is to have a car that require minimal service, that can be driven hard both on the road and track and still have that Porsche quality and feeling.
The poser is after the brand first and foremost and will have a tiptronic gearbox as the need for swift gear changes isn’t of importance because the car will be used to cruise the high street in an effort to look “money”.
It is unfortunate that the Boxster’s reputation is that of a “lesser Porsche” compared to its older, more expensive brethren, even though it absolutely isn’t. I would, in fact, argue that it is better. It is so good that Porsche has to make smaller engines specifically for the Boxster and Cayman as they would otherwise outrun the Carreras. With near perfect weight distrubution and balance, the Coxster is excellent both on road and track. With its mid-engine layout and one wheel in each corner, what you get is essentially a supercar design. Why do you think the Carrera GT is mid-engined?
For those only interested in appearance, it is a blessing that Porsche now offer an array of dumb vehicles for its stupidly rich clientel, but as long as those same machines can be had in basic driver versions without all the electronic gadgets, then I can’t really complain. It would be outright idiotic of Porsche to say no to billions of insecure people’s money, although it’d be quite cool if they did.

you mean the wannabe poser and the wannabe enthusiast
Where would one go To “look money” in a boxter??? where the bloody hell would that work, maybe in a suburb to Liverpool!!!!
Porsche is a Porsche for most people.
Also in Miami.
