Dear fellow luxury aficionados,

James himself has noted a trend of enviromental awareness in our community. More and more often, we are treated to supercars and even yachts that are designed to emit as little as possible, whether it be through the use of ethanol, electricity or just plain green means of production. While certainly a trend that we appreciate, somehow we just feel that it might need an extra push to sustain itself. Therefore, JamesList has chosen to take part in the global event Blog Action Day, where on October 15 thousands and thousands of blogs around the world will publish a post or article on this year’s theme, climate change.

If you follow us here at James Spotting, you will have noticed a number of articles dealing with some examples where the luxury market has decided to go green. Yachts such as the Solar Gem, Soliloquy, Ethereal, Wally & Hermès have been in focus here on James Spotting, as well as their automobile cousins the BRUSA Spyder, Steenstra Styletto and lo and behold, the Hummer. For the event on Blog Action Day 2009, we need your help! Please send your suggestions if there is something eco-related that you’d like to see more of, or even reviewed, on October 15.

It’s understandable that the idea of sacrificing a little bit of performance for the cause of the enviroment turns the stomach of some. But, if we want to keep enjoying our toys even in the future, it just might be a necessity. Read more about Blog Action Day 2009 and stay tuned for October 15!
