Iran is not on anyone’s list of great destinations at the moment thanks to all the drama surrounding the elections. But the news out if Iran isn’t all bad. No regime no matter how oppressive can keep creative minds from, well, creating. Witness this razor sharp new Lamborghini concept by Iranian designer Emil Baddal. His angular evolution of the Gallardo is bound to strike some purists as too aggressive and others too tame, but we think it’s fit to compete with the Reventon.
In addition to the Lambo, Baddal has designed Ferrari and BMW and supercar concepts as entries in the Designerspace automotive design awards. While the Lambo and Ferrari build on the companies’ current designs with sharper angles and lines and an edgier ethos all around, the BMW is a total departure but not out of the realm of possibility for the next generation of Bavarian beasts. Some sharp-eyed exec in Italy or Germany should get this Badall fellow signed up before the competition does.
